The Firm represents clients before governmental, administrative and regulatory agencies at all levels on a variety of matters, as well as related litigation, before administrative bodies and the courts. Litigation
The Firm represents clients in Administrative and Judicial litigation resulting from disputes in public procurement or public contracting issues. The Firm has handled some of the most complex bid protest challenges in Miami-Dade County and has defended its client’s interests in trial and appellate courts in the State of Florida.
Elections and Apportionment
The Firm has handled significant matters related to election and apportionment issues, utilizing extensive consulting experience to advise clients in matters involving members of the legislature or other state and local officials. Mr. De Grandy is currently special counsel to the Florida House of Representatives on redistricting, reapportionment and Voting Rights Act issues. His work on reapportionment while a member of the legislature led to creation of the De Grandy Plan for Congressional Districts that resulted in greater diversity in Florida’s congressional representation.
Annexation, Incorporation and Land Use
The Firm has represented a number of different interests in annexation matters and municipal incorporation issues in Miami-Dade County. From challenges on behalf of developers, businesses or homeowners fighting incorporation issues or addressing zoning determinations, to assisting municipalities with matters including annexation and incorporation. The Firm has represented clients from North Miami Beach to Hialeah, Coral Gables to the Redland, on these issues.
